Over the past two years, my team and I have worked diligently in the creation of Mike McMullen & Associates, a new concept for selling homes for you and your referrals. Our team sells over $70 million in real estate in Birmingham annually and is the most professional team in this market. We have always viewed what we do as a huge responsibility and privilege. At Mike McMullen & Associates, we are client centered and focused. We believe that the most important aspect of a transaction and our core business is you, the client.

Mike started his real estate career in 2000 quickly becoming one of the top real estate professionals in the Southeastern United States, closing over 300 transactions in 2005. He was named the number 1 real estate agent for RE/Max in the 6 state southeastern region by number of transactions in 2008. Since 2000, Mike and his wife Katie have invested in many real estate opportunities, believing in a buy-and- hold strategy for a long term pay off.

Mike McMullen is the Founder/CEO of Prominence Homes and Communities (Alabama’s 4 th Largest Residential Home Builder as of 2015) and Founder/CEO of Alabama Rental Managers (the largest Residential Rental Management Company in 3 states). In addition to these two businesses, Mike owns and operates the MMA franchise in Birmingham, AL and manages a real estate sales business of $35 million per year to domestic and international investors. Mike is also a seasoned real estate investor owning over 100 single family and multi-family properties, as well as land developments and subdivisions.

Charleen Mullen is the current Operations Manager for Mike McMullen and Associates. A Los Angeles native, Charleen has been in the real estate field for almost 12 years. She began as an assistant, later becoming licensed as an agent, eventually working with one of the busiest offices in the Los Angeles area specializing in foreclosures.

About four years ago, she decided she needed a change of pace and moved across the country to live in Birmingham Alabama. This is the best decision she has ever made. She was quickly hired on with Mike McMullen and Associates. Since Mike owns three companies: Mike McMullen and Associates, Prominence Homes and Communities and Alabama Rental Managers – Charleen is able to utilize her skills in all three companies.



Robert joined Mike McMullen & Associates in 2015, where he currently holds the position of Vice President. Robert started his career working at a financial brokerage firm, Sterne Agee, based out of the Birmingham area. With a background in finance, Robert saw an opportunity that would utilize his already developed skills in a different industry. The concept of a singular place that would encompass multiple facets of the retail and investment consumer market drew his interest and continues to fascinate him as he learns more about it. Robert helps manage a portfolio with hundreds of clients all over the United States. He is constantly working within the 3 companies to make the clients experience with Mike McMullen & Associates the best it can be. In his free time he enjoys Alabama football, playing any sports and hanging out with friends.


Born and raised in the South, Kate O’Quinn started her real estate career over 6 years ago and has personally been involved in over 600 residential sales transactions. Whether it is working with an existing home listing, first time homebuyer, or seasoned investor, Kate prides herself on her unparalleled service and attention to detail. Her clientele has grown exponentially to include both local and international buyers and sellers. With an aptitude for problem solving, Kate’s strength is the ability to navigate clients through a transaction with clarity and ease. Her focus has always been to establish long standing relationships based on commitment and results.



Matthew joined Mike McMullen and Associates in 2016 and currently serves as the Sales Facilitator.

Having graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and with a background in banking, he has always prided himself in his high standard of excellence and work ethic, and finds that working in real estate, a field that has always fascinated him, utilizes his talents to a degree that surpasses his expectations. He has developed a mind for finance and garnered excellent customer service skills, which allow him to complete tasks with efficiency and serve clients with speed and attention to detail.

An avid sports fan, Matthew enjoys attending sporting events and spending time with family and close friends.
